The idea behind this 3,000-square foot Landscape incorporates elements from Japanese landscaping with contemporary design themes. This was to create a landscape that was more formal and structured, complimenting the architecture of the house, yet having soft and flowing lines to satisfy the preference of the client.

With the Jungle Bamboo as the main element, we found plants that would match the deep green of its leaves and stalks to create a color combination, which would be a major theme throughout the landscape.

All the stones and rocks were hand picked and placed in clearly and carefully organized arrangements to accentuate the structure of the garden, while within flowing lines of the plant bed borders.

The very first landscape that Soul Garden was commissioned to do. This 1,000-Sqft space situated between two houses is intended to serve as nexus to the various areas of the compound.

The 5 paths all merge together to a central space within the landscape in an English Summer inspired collection of plants. We blended a wide range of colors and textures of tropical plants to represent the natural settings of English Country Gardens and had it border a stone path, which winds its way through the scene.

This 5000sqft landscape has a much larger focus on rock hardscape and ground covers. With relatively few larger shrubs and trees, it complements the imposing presence and scale of the house that stands behind it.

The softscape uses a locally infused style of bold colours, arranged around elegant curves of rock hardscapes. It creates a clean design that is accentuated by the use of geometric shrubs and uniform ground cover plants, to match the modern lines of the property it frames.

One of the smallest gardens we have created so far, this landscape was primarily created for the entertainment of guests in a small dais located within the center of the installation.

The main component was the use to texture to create harmony within the clean lines of the plant bed borders. The leaves of all the plants are in unity against a very simple backdrop of white and green, intended to have the focus of the garden be the conversation between guests in this enclosed section of the garden.

This slightly smaller landscape area allowed a more immersive level of landscaping where the trees and shrubs frames the entirety of every angle from the house and within the garden.
The use of the Eugenia tree with its succulent red tips of new growth is complimented by different shades of red, orange and yellow. This creates a harmonious blend of color with the different plants, on the otherwise green backdrop.

The winding paths around the various plant beds create a feeling of depth in an otherwise small garden, which is further accentuated by including slight variations of plants within each individual bed. This allows for different curiosities to come into sight depending on the perspective of the viewer.

This landscape is intended to serve as a background to a social area and is situated on a steep shady slope leading up 20ft to a collection of existing natural tropical shrubs and trees.

As the existing vegetation dominated so much of the view of from the area, the idea was to merge natural and man-made by using a very specific set of shade tolerant tropical plants to populate the wall. This increases the scale of the landscape as it travels out far beyond the borders of the property into the rest of the area’s scenery.

The design brief for the grounds of this apartment complex was to have the landscape be featured as the main point of interest and yet be subtle enough as not to overpower the building itself.

Towards this goal we punctuated the landscape with vibrant pockets of white, within a soothing blend of numerous shades of green, to create interest yet blend easily with the greater scene surrounding the complex.
